Three Kings charcoal discs - one size
packet of 10
Use these charcoal discs when burning resin & botanical incense
Three Kings Charcoal is made in Europe from untreated, natural, fresh beech wood from sustainable forests
Charcoal discs that are considered quick to light have had an ingredient added which is usually potassium nitrate or saltpeter. It is also known as Vesta powder which is also used in spells. It is recommended that you light your charcoal in a very well ventilated space or outdoors and wait at least 30 seconds for that initial smell to dissipate before bringing inside. I like to wait for the disc to become fully lit before I place my aromatics on top.
*important information; once opened please store your charcoal discs in air tight container. You can use a zip lock bag but make sure you always close it properly after each use. In not doing so you will lose the ability to ignite the disc. Remember never to leave a burning disc unattended. Ensure the disc is never burnt directly on a surface. These heat up to a level that can crack ceramic. I create what I call a burning bowl. I fill a heat proof bowl with dry sand or dirt that does not contain chemicals from garden products and then place the disc on the dirt. You may also find elsewhere ceramic or brass burners specific for this use.
